Born in 1948, in Philadelphia, PA, Dennis was the son of the late John P. and Isabelle (McLaughlin) Shovlin.
Dennis was a decorated U.S. Navy Veteran who served during the Vietnam War. He worked as an Electrician with First Quality in King of Prussia for 22 years.
Dennis was the beloved husband of Dorothy J. (Portale) Shovlin; loving father of Denise M. Shovlin and Brian L. Shovlin; dear brother of Maureen Keaton, Patricia Hepler, Timothy Shovlin and John Shovlin.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation 7:00-9:00 PM Friday, April 15, 2016 and 10:00-11:00 AM Saturday at The Donohue Funeral Home, 3300 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073, followed by his Funeral Service 11:00 AM.
