Diane Edythe Ramey, "Dinah", of West Chester, formerly of Haverford and Ardmore, passed away on September 1, 2015.
Born in Bryn Mawr in 1940, she was the daughter of the late Florence (nee Hauger) and Granville Ramey. She graduated from the Philadelphia College of the Arts and worked as a Professional Education Counselor for The American College.
Dinah enjoyed painting and horseback riding. She rode at Thorncroft with her close friends Shelly and Vicky and her horse, the late Willow. Dinah loved cats and rescued a kitten at 3 weeks old, named Dawn, and raised her. This past year, she moved to Sunrise of Westtown and made many new friends.
Dinah is survived by her sister Nancy Ann Panati (Jerold), her niece Donna Lamberth (Karl), her nephew Robert Panati (Tracy), and her great nieces Jenna Lamberth, Amanda Panati, and Dani Panati.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family Saturday, September 5, 2:00-2:45 P.M. at the Donohue Funeral Home, 1627 West Chester Pike, West Chester, PA 19382, (610)431-9000, followed by her Memorial Service at 2:45 P.M.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Thorncroft Equestrian Center at thorncroft.org or to the Chester County SPCA, 1212 Phoenixville Pike, West Chester, PA 19380.
