Dolores M. Bambach

With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we mourn the passing of our beloved Dolores Mary Bambach “Aunt Dee”, who departed from this world on May 31, 2024 at age 89 to join her parents Mary (neé Kuhn)  and Hans Bambach, along with her brothers, John & Ronald Bambach.  Forever the care-giver of her family, she is now in Heaven, with our Lord, and at peace.

Survived by her loving nephews and nieces, John Bambach, Mark Bambach, Lisa Konialian (neé Bambach) and Sharon DiazGranados (neé Bambach). We were blessed to have Aunt Dee in our lives. She was not only a source of unwavering love and support, even when we challenged her to the breaking point, as we did so often during our ski trips and visits to Wildwood, she remained our unwavering ally. When greeted by her at her home in Merion Station, PA, you could feel the happiness she felt when she saw you! And she NEVER got your name wrong, even when along came all the great nieces and nephews and great-great nephews!  Aunt Dee was surrounded by her loving (and funny) great nieces and great nephews:  Nicolle Krieger (neé Bambach), Jennifer Bambach, Dominique DiazGranados Bondi, Eric Bambach, Elizabeth Bambach, Julian DiazGranados, Lauren Bambach, and by her great-great nephews, Charles Krieger, Jackson Kreiger and Pierce Bondi!  Aunt Dee loved nothing more than to have Charlie and Jack push her around in her wheelchair!

Aunt Dee had such a flair for so many things:  cooking sewing, travel, and BOW MAKING to mention a few!  No one can argue that Aunt Dee made the BEST mashed potatoes in the world (probably because they had more butter and salt than potatoes).  Her Sauerbraten was scrumptious, as were her cakes and cookies.  Every week there was family dinner at 224 Matthew Road, and we will cherish those memories forever!   No one could decorate a gift more elegantly than Aunt Dee; her bows will live on as the legends they were meant to be!  She showered Johnny, Mark, Lisa and Sharon so much love and it was reflected in everything she did!

Aunt Dee started on a career path at the Moore Institute of Art; her passion was sewing and she designed and created such beautiful pieces!   Lisa and Sharon were certainly her models of choice as each and every year she faithfully made us matching, stylistic outfits!  But her passion didn’t stop at sewing, she had a true love for gardening, and later in life she became the BEST pet parent to her beloved dog, Barney!   She found true joy in receiving and returning the love of her dear pet.  Aunt Dee was also a devoted to her best friend, Carole Moore.  They met at GSK where Aunt Dee spent the majority of her career in the accounting department.  Carole and Aunt Dee developed a friendship that will transcend time.

Aunt Dee can now recount those special memories she had here on earth with her family in Heaven including their trip to Cuba!

Aunt Dee was more than just an aunt; she was a beacon of love, and kindness in our lives. She lived a life filled with compassion and generosity. She brought warmth and happiness to all who knew her, and will be so missed.  She was our final tie to the past, but she prepared us for the future with love.

Though Aunt Dee may no longer be with us in body, her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. We take solace in knowing that she is now at peace, reunited with loved ones who have gone before her, and watching over us from above.

In honoring Aunt Dee's memory, let us strive to emulate the love, grace, and generosity that she embodied throughout her life. May her legacy serve as a guiding light, reminding us to cherish each moment, love unconditionally, and live with purpose and passion.

Rest in peace, dear Aunt. You will be deeply missed and forever remembered with love.

Good Night and God Bless You!
