Dolores Marie Boyd

d. April 4, 2025

Dolores Marie “Dee” Boyd (nee Beppel), age 91, of Oxford, PA, formerly of Springfield, PA, passed away on April 4, 2025. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Mary Beppel (nee Paxton).

Throughout her career, Dolores served as a devoted medical data assistant at the Philadelphia Naval Hospital for the United States Navy. Her meticulous work and commitment to excellence in the healthcare sector reflected her profound sense of duty and her unwavering support to those who served.

Outside the hospital, Dolores’s life included various activities and interests. She possessed a charming enthusiasm for Irish dancing, allowing her to connect with her cultural roots while spreading joy through movement. An avid reader, she often lost herself in the pages of novels, always eager to dive into new worlds and stories. Dolores loved musical theatre and frequently visited local and New York venues. Furthermore, her love for travel took her across her beloved home country and Canada, where she could learn more about our nation’s rich history. She enjoyed visiting both old and new Catholic churches, as her faith was central to her life. Despite her inability to travel internationally in her later years, she created numerous cherished memories that will be fondly remembered by those who accompanied her on her journeys and shared in her experiences.

Dolores was the beloved wife of the late Robert M. Boyd Jr., loving mother of Megan Boyd Feeney (Kevin) and stepmother of Robert M. Boyd, III and Suzanne Finch (Gordon); grandmother of Jackson Feeney, Chad Finch, Laura Finch, Ashley Boyd, Alyssa Boyd, and Ally Boyd. Also survived by her sister, Mary O’Malley. Predeceased by her siblings, Harry Beppel, Betty Ellis, Jim Beppel, Nancy Cobert, and Ed Beppel.
