Donald. L. Doyle, 82, of Downingtown, formerly of Bergen County, NJ and Delaware County, PA passed away on December 18, 2013 at St. Martha Manor, Downingtown, PA.
Born in Philadelphia, PA in 1931, Donald was the son of the late Anna DeBalis and Joseph Doyle.
He served honorably in the US Marine Corps during the Korean War and was a Purple Heart Recipient.
Donald was a graduate of North Catholic High School in Philadelphia and he earned his Associates Degree from the Philadelphia Institute of Technology. He worked as a Sales Engineer.
He was a proud retired Marine who enjoyed history, football, but most of all spending time with his family.
He was predeceased by his wife, Patricia M. Doyle in 1967.
Donald was the loving father of Deborah A. Melnyk (Stephen), Kristina M. Skutnik (Gary) and Shannon L. Walsh (Mark); loving grandfather of David, Matthew, Alyssa and Rebecca; and Great-Grandfather of Liam.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation 4:00-6:00 PM Sunday Eve, December 22, 2013 and 9:00 - 10:00 AM Monday, December 23, 2013 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 43 W. Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown, PA 19335, 610-269-3080 and to his Funeral Mass 10:30 AM Monday at St. Joseph Church, 338 Manor Avenue, Downingtown, PA 19335. Interment will be at Immaculate Heart of Mary Cemetery, Linwood, PA.
