Donald J. Patterson, 65, of Downingtown, PA, formerly of New York, passed away on May 7, 2017, after a long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Born in Lockport, NY in 1951, he was the son of the late William D. and Dolores (nee Degan) Patterson. Donald worked as a Senior Manager with Aramark for 25 years, designing food service areas for sports stadiums, corporations, schools, prisons, and nursing homes throughout the country. His work defined him and he was very proud of what he accomplished in the years he worked there.
Don was a soft-spoken, introspective, and highly intelligent, talented man. He was an avid golfer and woodworker.
He was the beloved husband of Joanne M. (nee Caruso) Patterson; loving father of Sara J. Patterson and Samantha K. Ericksen (Peter); dear brother of David W. Patterson (Karen).
At Don's request, there will be no funeral service. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Neighborhood Hospice, 795 E. Marshall St., Ste. 204, West Chester, PA 19380.
