Donald White, Sr.

Donald J. White, Sr. "Whitey", age 78, of Holmes, PA, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on June 9, 2014. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Thomas A. and Marie White (nee McGrail). Mr. White was employed as a Plant Manager for 35 years at the Philadelphia Chewing Gum Factory in Havertown, PA.



Donald enjoyed watching the Phillies and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He loved the outdoors, including camping and hunting at his cabin. Donald was very handy and helped many with household projects.



Donald was predeceased by his wife of 50 years Elaine B. White (nee Tallant) and his brothers Joseph, Thomas and Frank White. He is survived by his children Donald J. (Regina) White, Jr., Thomas M. (Paula) White, John F. (Christine) White, Diane L. White and Elaine B. (Michael) Tambon. He is also survived by his 16 grandchildren, his sister Mary Quinn and his brother William White.
