Donna Rothera

Donna L. Rothera, age 62, of Broomall, PA and formerly of Morton, PA passed away May 29, 2016. Beloved daughter of Doris Rothera (Burnside) and the late George Rothera. Loving mother of Dr. Kelli E. Yacono (Christian), Emily Jane Rothera, and Brittany L. Rothera (Manuel Butler). Devoted grandmother of Ethan, Gavin, Elijah, and Morgan. Dear sister of Charles, Paul, Gary, and Cheryl Rothera. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Donna was a teacher for over 25 years, working in the Chester/Upland School District and later in Montgomery County, MD. Prior to that she served as the first female police officer in Wildwood, NJ, something she was quite proud of. But her biggest joys in life were her family, faith and opening her home and heart to many children through fostering and exchange student programs. Relatives and friends are invited to wear something yellow (Donna's favorite color) and celebrate Donna's life on Thursday, June 9, 2016 at Grace Bible Fellowship Church, 723 S. Providence Road, Wallingford, PA 19086. Family visitation and refreshments from 6 to 7:30 PM with a Memorial Service to follow at 7:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Compassion International (www.compassion.com) to help children in need.
