Doris E. Kiely

Doris E. Kiely, passed away September 26, 2024 at the age of 102, surrounded by her loving family. Beloved daughter to the late Alfred Stanley and Zelma (nee Roberts) Ezekiel.

Doris is survived by her children, Ruth K. Biles (Ken), Joan K. Clark (Stephen), Virginia M. Kiely, and John Robert Kiely, Jr.; Sister, Ruth Hodgson; Grandchildren, Karen Hartline, Kim Bolles, and Philip Krausz; Great-grandchildren, Conner Hartline, John Hartline, and Christian Bolles. Doris was predeceased by her dear husband of 58 years, John Kiely and her brother Stanley Ezekiel.

She lived a full and vibrant life, marked by an unwavering dedication to family and artistic expression. Doris proudly earned her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from West Chester State College. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Doris was a beloved family member and friend. She found great joy in playing bridge, sharing laughter and strategy with her loved ones. Her enthusiasm for life extended to her artistic talents; Doris was a prolific artist known for her exquisite works in oils, as well as her skillful cross stitch, sewing, and needlepoint. Her creations are a testimony to her ingenuity and creativity, evoking the spirit of a woman who truly lived for expressing beauty in the world around her.

Doris will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Friends and family are invited to celebrate her life during the visitation on October 2, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM at Donohue Funeral Home located at 1627 W. Chester Pike, West Chester, PA 19382. The service will conclude with additional moments of reflection and remembrance until 12:00 PM.
