Dorothea M. McNeill (nee Bell), of West Chester, passed away on September 7, 2015.
Mrs. McNeill was born and raised in Havertown, PA and attended Haverford Township schools. She met Albert J. McNeill of Llanerch and they were married in 1953, then moved to Lenape where they made their home until their death. Albert died in 2007.
Mrs. McNeill was employed by Southeast National Bank until her retirement. She was fond of gardening, garage sales, and her beloved dogs, Ruffie, Mr. Mac, Alfie, and Louie. She also had a very deep understanding of God's teachings and a strong faith in Him.
She was predeceased by her parents, Claude and Ida Bell, both from Albany, NY; her husband Albert J. McNeill; a brother H. Leonard Bell (Emma) and 2 nieces, Sandra and Barbara.
She is survived by one niece, Judith A. Bell of Drexel Hill, PA and extended family.
Family and friends are invited to a Gathering Saturday at 10:30-11:00 a.m. and to her Memorial Service 11:00 a.m. at Bethany United Presbyterian Church, 316 Kennett Pike, Chadds Ford, PA 19317. Interment is private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to Canine Partners for Life, 334 Faggs Manor Road, Cochranville, PA 19330, www.k94life.org or to Bethany United Presbyterian Church at the above address.
