Dorothy P. Dawson (nee Ballantine), 93, of West Chester, formerly of Downingtown, passed away on February 17, 2017.

Born in 1923 in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Samuel B. and Mary A. (nee Lapp) Ballantine.

Dorothy was the beloved wife of the late Henry R. Dawson; loving mother of David Rae Dawson (Carol) and the late Lynda France Hunter (Robert) and Stepmother of Roy France (Doris); devoted grandmother of Michael Hunter (Michelle); great-grandmother of Kody and Shelly.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation 10:30-11:00 AM Friday, February 24, 2017 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 43 W Lancaster Ave, Downingtown, PA 19335, 610-269-3080 followed by her Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. Interment Mount Hope Methodist Cemetery, Aston.
