Dorothy May Fischer, age 93, of Rutledge, PA, passed away on October 26. 2017. Born in Philadelphia to the late John Earle and Flora Wilhelmina (nee Legant) Welsh, Dot worked in the banking industry until she married Norman A. Fischer on March 9, 1946. She loved life and spent her time with friends and family as well as volunteering at her church as a Sunday School teacher and singing in the choir. Dot enjoyed bowling, sewing, drawing, reading, playing bingo and going to the casino. She was an avid gardener and animal lover. Dot was the beloved wife of the late Norman Fischer and the dear sister of the late Evelyn Cook and George Welsh. She is survived by her nephews Glenn Cook and Wayne Cook (Lori). Relatives and friends are invited to Visitation Wednesday, November 1st from 9:00-10:00 AM at The Knoetgen-Donohue Funeral Home, 746 Kedron Avenue, Morton, PA, followed by her Graveside Service at 10:30 AM at Glenwood Memorial Gardens, 2329 West Chester Pike, Broomall, PA.
