Dorothy W. Hayward (nee Chestnut), age 85, of Drexel Hill, PA, passed away on December 14, 2015.
Born in Shamokin, PA, she was the daughter of the late John and Dorothy Chestnut (nee Walsh).
Dorothy was a 1944 graduate of Upper Darby High School. She was employed as a telephone operator with Bell Telephone in Upper Darby, PA.
She was predeceased by her husband, William A. Hayward and her sister Pat Lawley (the late Allen).
She is survived by her son, William S. (Maureen D.) Hayward and her 3 grandchildren William D., Matthew A. and Scott P. Hayward.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Friday, December 18, 2015 9:00-10:50 AM Arlington Cemetery Chapel, 2900 State Road, Drexel Hill, PA and to her Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Arlington Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory to the Delaware County SPCA, 555 Sandy Bank Road, Media, PA 19063 would be appreciated.
