Faithful servant Dorothy Orlichowski has gone to her rest following a lifetime of devoted service to others.
To begin, Dorothy completed her Master’s Degree in Marketing from St. Joseph's University in 1972. She was then hired as the first female executive with the Penn Salt Corporation. She remained with the organization until her retirement in 2001.
Dorothy was a constant in the community for a multitude of causes. This includes serving three terms as vice president for the Radnor League of Women Voters, as trustee for the Radnor Memorial Library, member of the Board of Directors for the Radnor Township School District's Finance Committee, participant in the development Radnor Township’s Home Rule Charter, secretary for the Saturday Club, and volunteer for the Philadelphia’s Polish-American Museum. In grateful appreciation for long and faithful service, the Radnor League presented Dorothy with the Civic Participation Award in 2019.
Dearest to her heart was participating in Saint Katharine of Siena Parish’s liturgical music and choir groups, playing multiple instruments to beautify worship.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Julianna and Peter, and a sister Lillian. She is survived by a multitude of cousins and a network of friends in each community she touched.
Appreciation is extended to the staffs of the Wayne Center and Serenity Hospice, who provided excellent care in Dorothy’s later years.
