Lynne Potter passed away peacefully in her home on Wednesday, February 16, 2022. Lynne resided in West Chester, PA, over the past few years after spending most of her adult life in Yardley, PA. She was a devoted wife to her husband of nearly 53 years, William Potter. She was a loving mother to Jen Heckman (Jeff) of West Chester, PA, Tom Potter (Kara) of Washington, ME, and Liz Bodin (Nathan) of Haddonfield, NJ. She was a proud grandmother to eight grandchildren: Maddie, Lexi, Isaiah, Kylar, Andrew, Orion, Nathan, and Jack.
Lynne graduated from Coe College and shortly thereafter married Bill. They had three children and one of Lynne’s greatest joys in life was being a mother. When all the kids were off to school, she began a career working at the front desk of an orthodontic practice which she did for 27 years. She worked with so many people and served as a vital connection to the community, always making life easier for busy families. It seemed that anywhere you went, somebody knew and loved Lynne. Above all, Lynne was dedicated to her family. She was a strong supporter of those she loved and a great listener. She created a warm and inviting home that was always welcome to all, taught us how to find our happy places (Dewey Beach), how to shop for and find the perfect gift, how to dress for any occasion (with jewelry and purse to match), know the right words to say, or when someone needed a hug. Lynne always showered her grandchildren with love, affection, and little surprises. She will be missed.
Lynne is predeceased by her parents John and Dorothy (nee Barker) Watson. She is survived by her sister Connie Nagel (Scott) and brother John Watson.
Relatives and friends are invited to join us for her Visitation, 10 to 11 AM, Saturday, February 26, 2022 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 1627 West Chester Pike, West Chester, PA 19382, followed by her Memorial Service at 11 AM. A recording of Lynne's service can be viewed here.
Contributions in recognition of Lynne can be made to The Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research to help find a cure for the disease that took her too soon OR to the wonderful organizations that help support our family during the past year: Holisticare Hospice or Sarah Care of Malvern .
