Dr. Stephen Craig Carmick, 76 passed away on Friday June 10, 2016 at Bryn Mawr Hospital in Bryn Mawr, PA.
Stephen was born on May 29, 1940 in Philadelphia, PA to Stephen Dubbin and Marion (Hess) Carmick.
Stephen grew up in Upper Darby and Wynnewood. He graduated from The Episcopal Academy in Merion, PA in 1958. After high school he attended Gettysburg College in Gettysburg, PA where he received a degree in Biology in 1962. He was a member of Alpha Tao Omega Fraternity, and served on the Alumni board from 1985 till his death.
Stephen then attended Temple University, School of Dentistry in Philadelphia, PA where he received a Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1966. He was a member of Psi Omega Fraternity, and served as Grand Master in 1965-66.
Stephen began practicing dentistry alongside his father on Long Lane in Upper Darby, PA and opened a second location in Media, PA in the 1980's. His practice was a family practice and he treated each patient, as they were family. He retired in November after 49 years.
Stephen Craig was preceded in death by his parents Stephen Dubbin and Marion (Hess) Carmick.
Stephen is survived by his spouse Robin (Lufkin) of Woodbury, NJ; His son Stephen Edward, Dennetta (Isley) Carmick of Prescott, AZ; His daughter Candace Lee Carmick of Villanova, PA; His grandchildren Stephen Logan Carmick, Ainsley Drew Marinakos and Luke Isley Carmick; and his cousin Vurley Czelaski of Havertown, PA.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation 3:00-5:00 PM, Saturday, June 18, 2016 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 3300 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073, 610-353-6300 followed by a Words of Remembrance ceremony at 5:00 PM.
