Dr. David W. Sullivan, 79, of West Chester, PA and formerly of Philadelphia, PA passed away on April 5, 2014.



Born in Philadelphia in 1934, David was the son of Theresa (Cavanaugh) and John B. Sullivan, both deceased.



He was the beloved husband of the late Barbara H. (Sonzala) Sullivan; loving father of Bridget Sullivan; dear brother of Dr. Marjorie Del Bello (James), Christine Timmins, Geraldine Biehl (Dr. Mark). Also survived by many nieces and nephews.



David was also predeceased by his sister, Mary Ann "Mimi" Emma, and his brothers, Denis and John Barry Sullivan.



David served honorably in the US Army. He was a member of the Society of the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick of Philadelphia, where he was also a past President and a member of the Men of Malvern.



He was head of the Employee Assistance Program, in charge of Disaster Recovery at Arco Chemical and he also maintained a private counseling practice. He enjoyed taking walks with his dog, Casper.



Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation 8:30-10:00 AM Friday, April 11, 2014 at the Donohue Funeral Home, 1627 West Chester Pike, West Chester, PA 610-431-9000 and to his Funeral Mass 10:30 AM at SS Simon & Jude Church, 8 Cavanaugh Ct, West Chester, PA. Interment St. Agnes Cemetery, West Chester.
