Edith Hopson

Edith Gloria Hopson (nee Olsen), age 89, of Media, PA, formerly of Drexel Hill, PA, passed away on February 6, 2018. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late David and Helen Olsen (nee Parker).
Edith worked for TV Guide in Radnor and retired in 1994. She enjoyed playing cards, Bingo, going to the casinos, and visiting North Wildwood, NJ. She was a member of the Sweet Adelines, a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and the Upper Darby Senior Center.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Francis J. Hopson and her siblings Elizabeth Carp, David Olsen, Helen Krasowski, Richard Olsen and Jean Smith. She is survived by her brother Jack Olsen and by her loving children Karen MacMullin (Robert), Francis J. Hopson, Jr. (Michael), Linda Jensen-Henry (Dennis), Kathleen Collins (John), Pat Foanio (Mike), Lorraine Bonsall (Dan) and Susan Sweeney (Bill), her 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit the family on Saturday, February 17, 2018 10:00-11:00 AM The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike (cor. Lynn Blvd.), Upper Darby, PA (610) 449-0300 and to her Memorial Service at 11:00 AM. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Edith's memory to the Upper Darby Senior Center, 326 Watkins Avenue, Upper Darby, PA 19082 would be appreciated.
