Edith T. McDavitt (nee Turner), 91, of Exton, PA and formerly of Broomall, PA passed away on October 16, 2015 at Neighborhood Hospice in West Chester, PA.
Born in Washington, DC, Edith was the daughter of Charles R. and Gertrude (Draper) Turner, both deceased.
She was the beloved wife of William D. McDavitt.
She grew up in Hyattsville, NJ and Glenridge, NJ and was a graduate of Glenridge High School. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland in 1946.
Edith was a Registered nurse and worked at both Delaware County Hospital from 1952-1956 and Bryn Mawr Hospital from 1958 until her retirement in 1978.
She was an avid reader and enjoyed cooking. She served as a elected Deacon at Newtown Square Presbyterian Church.
