Edward Preston

Edward W. Preston, age 79, of Malvern, PA, passed away on July 2, 2014. Born in Chester, PA, he was the son of the late Edward Richle and Estelle Preston (nee Wallace). Mr. Preston was a graduate of Upper Darby High School and Villanova University. He served in the U.S. Army during the Cold War in Alaska. He was employed as an elementary school teacher with the Philadelphia Public School System.



He is survived by his beloved wife Maureen F. (nee O'Connor), his children Edward F. (Ave) Preston, Jennifer A. (Robert) King, Christopher M. Preston, Maureen S. (Mark) Kotapka, John P. Preston and his grandchildren Ryan, Sean, Sarah, Mark and Henry. He was predeceased by his son Stephen Preston.



Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Saturday, July 5, 2014 10:00-11:00 AM St. Patrick Church, 104 Channing Avenue, Malvern, PA and to his Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment SS Peter & Paul Cemetery.



In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory to the American Cancer Society, 1626 Locust Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103 would be appreciated.
