Edward Rink, Sr.

Edward J. Rink, Sr., age 79, passed away peacefully at his home in Wayne, PA on September 7, 2018. Born in Camden, NJ to the late Edward and Thelma Rink. Edward was a 1957 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School in Camden, NJ. On January 9, 1960, Edward married his high school sweetheart, Kathleen Gindhart, who was his traveling companion throughout their 58 years of marriage.

Edward was the happiest sharing his time between PA and Florida, enjoying the beach life at both locations. He shared his love for the ocean, golf, fishing, and walking along the sandy beach with his wife, three children, and all of his 8 grandchildren.

He always provided for his family; first as a sheet metal worker, a draftsman, a designer, and lastly as an engineer for HVAC systems. His designs were parts of ships, planes, oil rigs, office buildings, nuclear plants, and military installations, both here and abroad.

Edward is survived by his beloved wife Kathleen Gindhart Rink; loving children Edward Jr., (Anna), Thomas (Heide), Jennifer Murtaugh (Christopher); dear sister Anna Mae Rink Knight; and 8 grandchildren, Thomas, Matthew, Grace, Benjamin, Rosemary, Molly, Christopher, and Emma. He was predeceased by his parents and sister, Lella Della Rink.

Relatives and Friends are invited to his Visitation Wednesday, September 12, 2018 from 9:00-10:30 AM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 366 W. Lancaster Ave., Wayne, PA 19087, 610-989-9600, followed by his Funeral Mass 11AM at Our Lady of Assumption, 35 Old Eagle School Rd, Wayne, PA 19087. Interment St. Ann Cemetery, Phoenixville, Pa
