Edward John "Ed" Robb

Edward John “Ed” Robb, age 83, of Rosemont, PA, passed away on February 22, 2024. Born in Queens, NY, he was the son of the late Edward Abraham and Cecilia Robb (nee McNamara). Eventually relocating to Paoli, PA, Ed proudly served in the Pennsylvania National Guard. 

Eventually settling in Rosemont, PA with his young family, Ed served his community in the Radnor TownWatch Program. As a young father, Ed enjoyed bowling, camping, amateur radio and updating his large Ford Bronco. An incredibly hard worker, Ed worked in the printing industry as a pressman for more than 40 years working for several local companies. Until the end of his life, Ed had many interests including antiques and gardening. However, being with his wife of 52 years, Diane, his children, and grandchildren was Ed’s favorite place to be. Ed was a strong, funny and loyal family man and friend and he will be dearly missed.

Ed was the loving husband of Diane Robb (nee DiRocco); the loving father of Edward Robb, Jr. (Beth) and Melissa Cappelli (Todd); the adoring Poppy of Jacob Cappelli, Jamie Cappelli, and Matthew Cappelli; and the younger brother of Cecilia Karr. Unfortunately, Ed was predeceased by his one precious granddaughter, Lauren Robb, a heartbreak of which he never fully recovered. Ed's family takes solace in believing that he is united with Lauren and the many friends and family members that have gone before him. 

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate a life well lived, at Ed's Visitation 9:30 to 11:00 AM on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at St. Katharine of Siena Church, 104 S. Aberdeen Ave, Wayne, PA 19087, followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment at Limerick Garden of Memories, 44 Swamp Pike, Limerick, PA 19468.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Ed’s granddaughter, Lauren Robb, to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Checks can be made out to CHOP Foundation and mailed to P.O. Box 781352, Philadelphia, PA 19178-1352. Please remember to write in memory of “Lauren Robb” on the memo line of the check.
