Edward Seckinger

Edward C. Seckinger, age 91, of West Chester, passed away on May 28, 2015. Born in Philadelphia, PA he was the son of the late Edward and Emma (nee Greenwald) Seckinger. A proud WW II Army veteran, Edward served in the Reconnaissance Company of the 661ST Tank Destroyer Battalion in France, Germany and Belgium.



Edward is predeceased by his sweetheart Elizabeth "Betty" (nee Burns) with whom he shared 58 years of marriage. He is survived by his children Beth Seckinger of Orlando FL, Susie S. Malavolta (the late Joseph M.) of Downingtown and Molly S. DeSimone of Honey Brook, his grandchildren Christina and Sam Herman, Gabrielle Malavolta, and Kyle and Troy DeSimone. Edward is also survived by his cousins Margaret Bader and Charles Greenwald, as well as his sister-in- law Rosemarie Burns and three nieces and one nephew.



Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Wednesday June 3rd from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 1627 West Chester Pike, West Chester, PA 19382, (610) 431-9000 followed by his Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. Interment Glenwood Memorial Gardens, Broomall, PA.
