Edward Wallin, Sr.

Edward J. Wallin, Sr., age 90, of Drexel Hill, PA, passed away on December 23, 2017. He was the son of the late William and Marie Agnes Wallin (nee Bell).



Edward was a 1945 graduate of St. Thomas More High School in Philadelphia, PA. He served in the United States Army during the World War II era. He was employed as an electrical worker at General Electric. He was a board member of the St. Thomas More Alumni Association and a member of the Shanahan Catholic Club.



He was predeceased by his son, Edward J. Wallin, Jr., his grandson Joseph Wallin and his siblings Kathleen Huller, Mary Ervin, Eleanor Smith, William Wallin, Francis, Raymond, James and Theresa Wallin. He is survived by his beloved wife, Johanna "Joan" Wallin (nee Coleman), his children Kevin T. Wallin (Sheila), Joan C. McCabe (Patrick), Lizanne T. Sloan (the late Paul) and his daughter-in-law Shirley Wallin. He is also survived by his siblings Joseph, John, Paul and Richard Wallin, his grandchildren Lauren Skvarek (John), Kevin T. Wallin, Jr. (Danielle), Kerry Wallin, Thomas Wallin, Moira McCabe, Patrick McCabe, Molly McCabe, Lizanne McIvor (Steven) and Brittany Sloan and his great-grandchildren Nikolas and Shayla and the many 99 Wallin family members.



Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Friday, December 29, 2017 9:30-10:45 AM St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 3500 School Lane, Drexel Hill, PA and to his Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment will be private.
