Edward Charles Weed, Sr., of Exton, PA, formerly of West Chester, PA passed away on February 26, 2017.
He was the beloved husband of Dolores A. (nee Studnicky) Weed; loving father of Marte Trombetta (Ken), Joanne McShalley (Frank), Colleen Scallion (Mark), Ed Weed, Jr. (Debi), and Rob Weed; also survived by 14 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Edward graduated from La Salle High School and La Salle University. He served honorably in the US Army during the Korean War. All will agree, Ed was a real swell fellow.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Memorial Mass 1:00 PM, Saturday, March 18, 2017 at St. Mary's Chapel at The National Shrine Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes, 16330 Grotto Rd, Emmitsburg, MD 21727. Interment Mount Saint Mary's Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Edward's name may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to Neighborhood Hospice, 795 E. Marshall St, Ste 405, West Chester, PA 19380.
