Edwin Byrne, Jr.

Edwin V. Byrne, Jr., age 64, of Upper Darby, PA, passed away on August 21, 2014. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of Mary Agnes Byrne (nee Sweeney) and the late Edwin V. Byrne, Sr. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era. He was employed as a Parts Finisher for Cooks Specialty, a manufacturing company, in Lansdale, PA for 35 years. He retired in 2012.



Edwin loved his family, friends and sports. He was a Post Commander with the Archer-Epler VFW Post 979 in Upper Darby, PA.



Edwin is survived by his wife Katherine Nee Byrne, his daughter Lori A. Byrne, and his siblings James Byrne, Thomas Byrne and Mary Byrne Miller.



Relatives and friends are invited to visit the family Tuesday, August 26, 2014 9:30-10:20 AM St. Laurence Church, 8245 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA followed by his Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
