Eileen Devenney

Eileen P. Devenney (nee Powell), age 75, a long-time resident of Upper Darby, PA, passed away on June 19, 2021.    Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Mary Powell (nee Costello).

Eileen worked as a School Crossing Guard for the Upper Darby School District and was stationed at St. Laurence School.   She also volunteered as a Yard Mother for St. Laurence School for many years.

Eileen was predeceased by her husband, James Devenney and her son, Darren Devenney.   She is survived by her sons David Devenney (Melissa) and Steven Devenney (Margo), her daughter-in-law Barbara Devenney, 7 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, her brother, Jimmy Powell (Maryanne) and her niece and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Friday, June 25, 2021 6:00-8:00 PM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA (610) 449-0300 and to her Funeral Mass Saturday, June 26, 2021 10:30 AM at St. Laurence Lower Church, 8245 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA.   Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Lankenau Hospital Heart Institute, 100 E. Lancaster Avenue, Wynnewood, PA 19096, would be appreciated.
