Eileen Dolente

Eileen Marie Dolente (nee Shaw), age 58, of Media, PA, died unexpectedly on Friday, September 7, 2018. She was the beloved wife of D. Samuel Dolente; loving mother of Patrick M. Dolente (Los Angeles, CA) and Caroline S. Dolente (West Chester, PA); and daughter of the late Eugene F. X. and Susanne (Dougherty) Shaw.

Eileen was raised in Upper Darby and graduated from Archbishop Prendergast High School and Temple University School of Communications. She recently retired from a successful career in telecommunications; her last position was as Executive Producer at Comcast for The Comcast Experience video wall.

Eileen will be fondly remembered as intelligent and witty, a gracious hostess, and a joy to be around. She had a classic elegance and a loving heart. Affectionately known as "Shoobs" and dubbed by Sam as "America's Mom", Eileen loved spending time with family and friends ‘down the shore' and traveling to various unique locations around the world.

In addition to Sam, Patrick, and Caroline, Eileen is survived by her siblings: Eugene F.X. (Joan) Shaw, Kathleen (Keith) Wetzel, Arthur (Patricia) Shaw, Clare (Gene) Donaldson, and Marie (Joseph) Kushnerick, cherished nieces and nephews, and countless friends and colleagues.
