Eileen Hill

October 12, 1947 — March 2, 2019

Eileen A. Hill, 71, of Glenolden, Pa passed away on March 2, 2019. She was the beloved daughter of the late George and Eleanor (nee Snyder) Hiemenz. Eileen enjoyed reading, swimming, cooking, sewing, taking walks, watching movies on the Hallmark channel and shopping at Kohl's or QVC. She looked forward to talking to her sister Lois, whom she loved very much, every Sunday. Eileen was a very loving, thoughtful, selfless, independent, brave and resilient person. She was a devout Catholic who had been a parishioner at Our Lady of Fatima Church since 1976. Eileen faithfully prayed the rosary and truly believed in the meaning of Faith, Hope and Love. She collected angel figurines and displayed them all over her house. Her favorite places to visit were Ocean City, MD, Cape May, NJ, Hershey Hotel, Longwood Gardens and she spent many summers at Briarcliff Swim Club. She had a green thumb for nurturing plants and loved the smell of Hyacinthus. Decorating for Christmas was a must and she proudly showed off the ornaments that her children had made when they were young. What Eileen loved the most though was the time she spent with her family, especially her grandson Brayden. She is survived by her loving children Loretta A. Hill (Michael Crook), Thomas Hill and Brian (Brooke) Hill, her adoring grandson Brayden Francis Hill and her caring and devoted siblings George Hiemenz, Lois Mason and Mark Hiemenz. Family and friends are invited to her Visitation on Friday March 8, 2019 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM and Saturday March 9, 2019 from 9:30 AM - 10:30 AM at Knoetgen-Donohue Funeral Home 746 Kedron Ave. Morton, Pa 19070 followed by her 11:00 AM Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Fatima Church 1 Fatima Dr. Secane, Pa 19018 Interment: SS Peter & Paul Cemetery In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to American Cancer Society 1626 Locust St Philadelphia, Pa 19103
