Eileen S. Murray

Eileen S. Murray, age 71, of Glen Mills, PA, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2022.  Eileen was born in Darby, PA, the loving daughter of the late George and Frances (nee Hudome) Murray.  Survived by her sister, Patricia A. Murray, and many cousins.

After graduating from Cardinal O’Hara High School in 1969, Eileen worked as a legal assistant at multiple prestigious Philadelphia law firms for over 40 years. 

Eileen enjoyed exploring cookbooks and trying new recipes.  Her friends and family were happy to be the official taste testers. She never disappointed.   In addition to cooking, Eileen enjoyed international travel with a focus on historical locations.  She was also an avid reader of all literary genres.  As a compassionate animal lover, Eileen supported multiple domestic and international animal welfare charities.

Eileen was a member of St. Cornelius Parish in Chadds Ford and volunteered at multiple church sponsored food drives.  Eileen's generosity, kindness, and thoughtfulness, coupled with her sense of humor, will be remembered by all who knew her.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation 10:00-11:00 AM Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at St. Cornelius Church, 160 Ridge Road, Chadds Ford, PA 19317, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment SS Peter & Paul Cemetery.
