Eileen Reilly Ryan

June 12, 1937 — March 23, 2022

Eileen Reilly Ryan passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2022. Eileen will be deeply missed by all who were lucky
enough to have known her. She touched the lives of so many people.

Eileen graduated from Albertus Magnus College in 1959. Her love for learning continued throughout her life. She
received her Masters Degree in Classical Languages from Villanova University in 1980 and went on to teach at Villanova
University and Academy of Notre Dame de Namur. Her love of words, grammar, and languages led her to be a cherished
and fierce Words with Friends competitor.

Long, sunny, summer days were treasures to Eileen. The sunshine of Jamaica and her entire Half Moon family held a
special place in her heart. John Denver’s “Sunshine on my Shoulders” was written for her.

Eileen’s passion for style and her unequivocal elegance were awe-inspiring for all who knew her. She set the bar high in
so many ways and was a fashion icon in her own right!

Eileen sought and achieved perfection in most every aspect of her life. From the subtler things, like her flawless
handwriting, to the more noticeable things, like her unparalleled and timely wit, everything she did was excellent.

Her immense kindness, patience, and genuine love for her friends and family has left us all with an enduring example of
a life well and rightly lived. She cherished her neighbors, her children, her grandchildren, and even their pets.

Most importantly, though, Eileen loved and adored her husband, Kevin Ryan. The love they shared was obvious to all
who knew them — they treasured and respected each other, showing the world what true love really means.

Eileen will live on in the hearts of those who love her. She leaves behind an adoring family: her husband of 61 years,
Kevin; her son Edward (Margaret); her daughters Darian Gambelli (Mike) and Risa; grandchildren, Kevin Schattin,
Samantha Schattin, Matthew Ryan (Lauryn), Maggie Rahman (Zahir), Kara Ryan (Kevin), Jack Ryan (Jessica), Harrison
Gambelli, Reilly Gambelli and Edward Gambelli; great grandchildren, Ayman Rahman, Tarek Rahman, Ayah Rahman, and
Clark Ryan; and her sister, Kathleen Chase.
