Eileen Wallace (née Daly) of Haverford, PA, formerly of Massapequa, NY, passed away on June 12, 2021.
She is survived by her brother John (late Barbara) Daly, and her sisters, Nancy (late Jack) Donahue, Maureen (Richard) Smith, and Teresa (Robert) Feehery, as well as twenty-one nieces and nephews, forty-six great nieces and nephews, and five great-great nieces and nephews. She also kept in touch with her Daly cousins and her many Keane cousins from Ireland. She is at rest with her beloved husband, Gerard Wallace, and her parents, John Daly and Margaret Keane Daly.
Eileen worked as the Chief Operating Officer of Benjamin Development in Garden City, NY for thirty-five years. She and her husband were very involved in the Irish music and dance community. She played violin when she attended West Catholic High School for Girls in Philadelphia and took up bagpipes when she graduated. She was an accomplished Irish Dancer, and after she stopped dancing, Eileen still enjoyed attending ‘feiseanna’ (irish dance competitions) with her nieces and grand-nieces, where she would always run into old friends.
Eileen followed the Christian tenet of “love thy neighbor” every day of her life. She was a kind and welcoming soul to everyone - from her family and friends to every stranger she met. She loved staying with her family at the Jersey Shore, where she greeted the beautiful weather every morning with a joyful “alleluia.”
