Eleanor Kiely Cousart, beloved wife of the late Eugene Mauch Cousart, Sr., has gone to be with the Lord Jesus on May 8, 2014, She was 91 years of age.
Born on December 22, 1922, in Northeast Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Kiely (nee Cunningham). She was preceded in death by her infant son, Genie. She is survived by her 10 children Denise Cattie (Howard), Mary Sessions (Dr. Roy), Eugene Mauch Cousart, Jr. (Kathryna), Connie Holliday (Michael), Steven Cousart (Mary Cay), Christopher Cousart (Judy), John Cousart (Marie), Jerry Cousart (Barbara), Kevin Cousart (Christine), Michael Cousart (Karyn) and her 27 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren & her sister Margaret Flager. Eleanor is also survived by her sister Margaret Flagler.
"Apple" was a motherly-figure to a multitude in Wayne, PA. Her legacy is one of endless hospitality and generosity. She was a long-time, devoted parishioner of St. Katharine of Siena Catholic Church in Wayne, PA.
She proudly served her country in the U.S. Navy from 1944 to 1946. She was proud of her Irish heritage, loved traveling, spending time with her family -- children were her greatest joy. Her heart and prayers were open for lost causes, and she was widely known for her generous spirit.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family Sunday, May 11, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 366 West Lancaster Avenue, Wayne PA and Monday, May 12, 2014 10:00 to 10:45 AM St. Katharine of Siena Church, Lancaster and Aberdeen Avenues, Wayne, PA followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken, PA.
