Eleanor Knapp Wilson, age 95, of Newtown Square, PA, formerly of Wayne, PA, passed away on June 1st, 2024.
Born in Philadelphia, PA on July 26, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Nancy Mowbray Knapp and Frederick A. Knapp.
Eleanor is predeceased by her husband, John E. Wilson, Jr. in 2009, sister, Nancy Brink, and brother, Frederick Knapp, Jr. She is survived by her adopted daughter, Mollie McCulloch and son-in-law, B. Hunter McCulloch III, and her grandchildren, Kate and Michael McCulloch. She is also survived by her dear niece, Nancy Brink, and six nephews.
Eleanor was active in The Wayne United Methodist Church, the Hood College Alumni Association, and volunteered for many years as a docent at the historic Waynesborough. She was also involved with many activities at White Horse Village, where she resided for 26 years.
Eleanor was a true Anglophile, an avid reader and New York Times crossword fan, an avid gardener and an annual Stone Harbor, NJ beach goer.
There will be no services held for Eleanor.
