Elinor P. Mango (nee Piro), age 85, of Media, PA, formerly of Yonkers, NY, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2016 after a battle with pancreatic cancer. Born in Bronx, NY, she was the daughter of the late Angelo and Maria Piro (nee Loiacono). She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Mt. St. Vincent College in New York. She worked as a chemical librarian for a pharmaceutical company in New York City before having children. She was active in the PTA at P.S. 28 in Yonkers, NY and later became a library assistant at Scarsdale High School. She and her husband Frank were retired for over 20 years and enjoyed traveling the world together. After moving to Riddle Village in 2013, Elinor volunteered in the library, served on a variety of committees and loved hosting her grandchildren for brunch and bingo.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Frank Mango, her children Stephen J. Mango (Kenneth J. Rogers) and Andrea M. Bruderle (Stephen) and her grandsons Ryan and Patrick Bruderle.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit the family Wednesday, March 23, 2016 10:00-10:55 AM St. Patrick Church, 104 Channing Avenue, Malvern, PA and to her Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment will be private.
