Elizabeth A. Bevilacqua (nee Cipriani), age 93, of West Springfield, MA, formerly of Springfield, PA, passed away on November 11, 2022. Born in Drexel Hill, PA, she was the daughter of the late Francis E. and Theresa Cipriani (nee Boos).
Elizabeth was a graduate of Notre Dame deLourdes High School in Moylan, PA.
Elizabeth was a 55 year parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Church before moving to West Springfield, MA.
Betty has been described by family and friends as thoughtful, caring, kind, and selfless, but mostly devoted to her family, friends, and her faith.
Her greatest joy was her family. She always looked forward to sharing holidays and events. Pictures of the laugher and good times at family picnics and celebrations brought many smiles these past few years, as she made photo albums of everyone.
She was a talented seamstress, avid reader and ahead of her time learning and sharing the values of natural healthy living. She spent many hours helping family and friends, offering to do whatever was needed.
She and Charlie enjoyed many summers and Christmases in New England with her daughter and family.
Betty spent over 45 years volunteering at St. Francis of Assisi Church, where she felt at home. She collected for Catholic Charities, helped with Church envelopes and Friday bingo, prepared the vestibule for upcoming holidays, and was proud to handle the altar and priest garments for special occasions.
Mostly, she volunteered at the “White Elephant” preparing donated items to raise funds for the Church. She spent several years volunteering in the offices of Cardinal O’Hara High School. She made wonderful friends whose friendships lasted a lifetime.
Her legacy would be to offer a helping hand, volunteer, support your favorite charities, and be kind, loving and caring to your family and friends. It makes the world a better place.
We will miss you, Mom. May you rest in peace with love.
Elizabeth was predeceased by her beloved husband Charles Bevilacqua, her dear son Charles Bevilacqua, Jr. (Tina), her sisters Delores Cipriani, Marie Nichols, Lucy John (Richard) and her brother Frank Cipriani (Edith Mae).
