Elizabeth Leander

Elizabeth G. Leander, 92, of King of Prussia, PA, passed away July 6, 2021.

Born June 16, 1929 in Germantown, Philadelphia, PA, she was a daughter of the late George and Emily (nee Schmidt) Kelley.

Elizabeth (Betty) was a graduate of Germantown High School and worked as an executive secretary for many years at Allstate Insurance.

Betty enjoyed taking walks, singing, camping, playing pinochle, cornhole, horseshoes, and listening to classical music. She was a member of the UMBC church choir, Greenleigh Chorale, Montgomery County Senior Choir, Wayne Oratorial Society, King of Prussia Players, and the MannerChor singers. She was very active within Upper Merion Baptist Church. Betty had a heart for mission work (organization of yard sale fundraisers, Camp Swatara work trips, support of Beyond Borders and a mission trip to Cuba). Betty also enjoyed traveling to many destinations such as Alaska, Italy, Cape Cod and trips with her daughter Betty and family to San Juan Puerto Rico, as well as trips to visit with her Florida family. She had a special gift of connecting with people and developing meaningful relationships with many people no matter where she went.

Betty was the beloved wife of the late Paul E. Leander and is survived by her children; Elizabeth Wilde-Biasiny(Charles), Charles Wilde(former spouse Lynn), Robert Wilde(Lori), and Andrew Wilde(former spouse Gina); stepmother of Paul H. Leander(Susan) and Karen Leander(Matthew). She is the grandmother of Jonathan Wilde, Jennifer Wilde, Amelia F. Biasiny, Timothy Wilde, Caitlin Stuetz, John Stuetz, Kelley Anne Stuetz, Rachel Wilde, Erik Leander, Christina Leander, Philip Leander, and Noah Gordon-Leander.  She was predeceased by her daughter Carolyn Stuetz(Bernard) of Glenside, PA, her sister Mary King of Bowie, MD, and by her former spouse, Robert Wilde of King of Prussia, PA.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation on Friday, July 23rd at 11 AM at the Upper Merion Baptist Church, 585 General Steuben Rd, King of Prussia, PA 19406, followed by her Memorial Service at 12 Noon. Luncheon to follow the service. Interment will be private.
