Elizabeth S. Locker

Elizabeth (Betty) S. Locker, 92, of Nazareth, PA, formerly of Wayne, PA, passed away May 29, 2023.

Born December 26, 1930 in Pittsburgh, PA, she was a daughter of the late Donald and Caroline (nee Householder) Slocum.

Betty was the beloved wife of the late Robert John Locker; loving mother of Amy L. Krug (Robert), Susan L. Herd (Bryan), Donald J. Locker, and Nancy J. Biederstadt (Stephen); adoring grandmother of 8 and great-grandmother of 10; and dear aunt of many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Barbara Cowan. 

After graduating from Allderdice High School in 1947, she went on to study at Oberlin College. She was a stay at home mom for 13 years and then tutored and taught Reading to Elementary School students in Norristown, PA until her retirement.

Betty spent her free time playing bridge, reading, learning to speak and read French, singing in the church choir and spoiling her grandchildren as much as possible. She traveled the world with her husband and friends visiting every continent except Antarctica.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation, 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Thursday, June 8, 2023 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 132 E Valley Forge Rd, King of Prussia, PA 19406, followed by her Funeral Service at 2:00 PM. Interment at Great Valley Baptist Church, Devon, PA. Following the interment, everyone is invited to gather at 30 Main Restaurant, 660 Lancaster Ave. Berwyn, PA 19312.
