Elizabeth McGettigan

Elizabeth A. McGettigan (nee O'Neill), age 87, of Drexel Hill, PA, passed away on January 31, 2016. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth O'Neill (nee Curran). She was a graduate of Notre Dame High School in Moylan, PA and also a graduate of Pierce Junior College.



She was a devout member of St. Bernadette Church. She loved to jitterbug and watch football especially the Irish of Notre Dame University.



Elizabeth was predeceased by her husband, John A. McGettigan, Jr. and her son, John A. McGettigan, III. She was a devoted mother to her eight children Michael J. McGettigan, Eileen P. McGettigan, Daniel T. McGettigan, Edward P. McGettigan, Ann M. Basden (the late Mike), James M. McGettigan (Tina), Betsy A. McGettigan and Megan Carr (Tim) and a devoted grandmother to her 6 grandchildren, Andrew, Samantha, Jacklyn, Matthew, Jesse and James



Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Friday, February 5, 2016 9:30-10:30 AM St. Bernadette Church, 1035 Turner Avenue, Drexel Hill, PA and to her Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM. Interment SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
