Elizabeth J. "Betty" Monaghan, age 84, of Drexel Hill, PA, passed away on April 20, 2019.
Born in Darby, PA, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Catherine J. (nee Koch) Boyle.
Betty was the beloved wife of Edward E. Monaghan, Jr.; the loving mother of Donald J. Myers, Catherine E. McHugh (Billy), John J. Monaghan (Alvin), Mary Ellen "Mimi" Sheffer (John), Edward E. Monaghan, III (Maria), Michael Monaghan (Robin) and Brian Zinman (Judy); the devoted grandmother of Lauren, Donnie, Amanda, Nicole, Shannon, Tommy, Chris, John, Jordan, Sarah, Alyssa, Emily, Ryan, Eric, Brian and Alexandra; and dear sister of Gail Krall (James). She is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren. Betty was predeceased by her sisters, Mary Ellen DiGregorio and Patricia Taylor.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing Tuesday, April 23, 2019, 5:00-8:00 PM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA 19082, 610-449-0300 and to her Funeral Mass Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at 10:30 AM at St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 3500 School Lane, Drexel Hill, PA 19026. Interment SS Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
