Elizabeth Pierce

Elizabeth C. “Betty” Pierce (nee Moran), age 79, of Royersford, PA passed away on January 13, 2022.

Born in Philadelphia, PA she was the daughter of the late John “Jack” and Elizabeth Moran (nee Harris).

Betty loved to spend her time sailing their "Hobie Cat" on Marsh Creek and Corson's Inlet and the ocean, camping, playing cards, and cooking. Both Betty and Harold took ballroom dance lessons and ruled the dance floor at every wedding or event. Many of their Friday nights were spent at ballroom dance events. She was very active at the YMCA ,a member of Sacred Heart Church of Royersford, and a secretary for G.E/ Lockheed-Martin for 20 years. A favorite event of hers was the "Senior Prom" that she said she would always remember.

Betty was the beloved wife of Harold Pierce; loving mother of Christine Madden (David), Michael Bevilacqua, Shannon Gillespie (Jason), and Erik Pierce (Christy); devoted sister to her siblings John Moran (Alice), Michael Moran (Mercedes), Kathleen Zungolo, the late Martin Moran (Janet) and William Moran; a caring Grandmother to Josh and Jesse Brown, Christopher and Kaitlyn Madden, and Kaden Pierce; an adoring Great-Grandmother to Bristol, Berkley, Brydger, and Bryar Brown. Betty is also survived by many nieces and nephews who she loved dearly.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing, Thursday, January 20, 2022, 9:00-10:25 AM at St. Dorothy Church, 4910 Township Line Rd, Drexel Hill, PA 19026, followed by her funeral mass at 10:30 AM. Interment SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
