Elizabeth Sheils

Elizabeth M. Sheils (nee Donegan), age 96, of Aston, Pa (formerly of Newtown Square & Lansdowne, PA) passed away on May 13, 2021. She is predeceased by her parents James and Mary (nee McNichol) Donegan, daughters Kathleen M. Sheils & Anne E. Kovaleski, brother James Donegan and sister Marie Freeman.

Elizabeth was a 1943 graduate of West Catholic School for Girls and had previously worked for Bell Telephone (now Verizon) as a phone operator. She was a member of the Verizon Pioneers. Elizabeth loved spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and extended family & friends. She will be missed by all who knew & loved her.

Elizabeth is survived by her beloved husband Michael J. Sheils; loving children, Kevin F. (Marilyn) Sheils, Michael J. Sheils, Denis B. (Theresa) Sheils, Mary F. (Stephen) Shrader; adoring grandchildren, Jeremy (Sheila) Sheils, Stephanie (Jud) Bullock, Stephen Shrader, Michael Sheils, Liam Shrader, Jack Shrader; cherished great-grandchildren, Owen, Casey, Braxton, Emmeryson & Hadley. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, god children and friends.

Family and friends are invited to her Visitation on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 from 8:30 AM – 10:30 AM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 3300 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073,  followed by her 11:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Anastasia Church, 3301 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073.
