Ellen Elizabeth Hanna

Ellen Elizabeth Hanna (nee Thompson), age 81, of West Chester, PA, formerly of Springfield, PA, passed away on January 21, 2024.

Born in Philadelphia, PA in 1943, she was the daughter of the late Edward “Pete” and Evelyn E. (nee Armstrong) Thompson and Sister to Linda Breneman (nee Thompson). Ellen was a proud graduate of Hahnemann University hospital. She worked as a Registered Nurse, Corporate District Manager and was a respected mentor to her nursing students. Ellen’s favorite place to vacation was anywhere near a body of water. She enjoyed cheering-on the Philadelphia Eagles. Ellen loved her family, especially her grandchildren.  

Ellen was the beloved wife of the late Michael A. Hanna; loving mother of Edward M. Hanna (Michele), Donna E. Hanna Settle, Christopher W. Hanna, and Mark R. Hanna (Colleen McKenna); caring grandmother of Daniel E. Hanna, Ryan M. Hanna, Kate E. Settle, Lochlan M. Hanna, and Liam M. Schmelia.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation 11 AM-12 PM Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 1627 West Chester Pike, West Chester, PA 19382, 610-431-9000, followed by her Funeral Service 12 PM. Interment private.
