Ellen K. Koob McGrath (nee Kirk), age 68, of Hatboro, PA, formerly of Upper Darby, PA, passed away on March 23, 2015. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Edwin and Dolores Kirk (nee Buggy).
She was a graduate of West Catholic Girls High School and Misericordia Hospital Nursing School, both in Philadelphia. She was employed as a Licensed Practical Nurse for Dr. Robert Shusman in Springfield, PA. She retired in 2002.
Ellen is survived by her beloved husband, Robert J. McGrath, her dear children Patrick Koob and Stephanie (Michael) Bassetti (nee Koob), her grandchildren Vincent and Anthony Bassetti, her brother Edwin Kirk and her nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Friday, March 27, 2015 9:00-10:00 AM The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike (cor. Lynn Blvd.), Upper Darby, PA and to her Funeral Mass 10:30 AM Sacred Heart Church, Manoa and Shelbourne Roads, Havertown, PA. Interment private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory to Luther Woods Nursing Home, 313 W. County Line Road, Hatboro, PA 19040 would be appreciated.
