Ellis Robert Feldman, 90, of Drexel Hill, PA passed away on August 7, 2017.



Born in Philadelphia, PA in 1926, he was the son of the late Harry and Etta (nee Miller) Feldman. He was a graduate of Central High School of Philadelphia and LaSalle College where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree. Ellis was a member of several groups including The Society for the Preservation of Old Mills, the Yeadon Jewish Community Center, The Pennsylvania Guild of Designer Craftsmen, and Artists Equity.



Ellis began his lifelong interest in photography as a child. His interest grew in high school where he was the president of his high school camera club. Ellis had a photographic darkroom for over 70 years. Over the decades he gained professional experience and focused in landscape, marine, and architectural photography. His passion in his later years was the hand color-tinting of black and white photographs creating photographs with subtle colors and life-like beauty. Ellis' photographs have been displayed in collections including The Crisfield Museum, The Mariners Museum, The Delaware Agricultural Museum, The Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum, The Brattleboro Art Museum, LaSalle College, The Hertz Corporation, and The Sperry-Hutchinson Corporation. Over 2,500 homes and offices have obtained Ellis Feldman's photographs for display and enjoyment. Ellis' photographic work will be posted in the near future at www.ellisfeldman.com



Ellis was the father of Lawrence Feldman and Robert Feldman; brother of Shirley Arkin, of FL; also survived by 5 grandchildren.
