Emily Aversa Patella, 97, of West Chester, PA and formerly of Brooklyn, NY passed away, at home, on January 4, 2017.
The beloved wife of the late Armand M. Patella, M.D. and loving mother of Emily Siolek (husband Thomas), Eugenia Johnson (husband Vance), Armand Jr. (wife JeanneMarie), the late Elizabeth Holst, and the late Laura Johnson.
Emily was the treasured grandmother of 13; Kathryne-laura Holst Buckley, Armand John Holst, Eugene Louis Holst, Elizabeth Ann Fiore Richardson, Laura Marcella Fiore Decker, Thomas Siolek, Jr, Emilia Siolek Kleinman, Nicholas Edmund Siolek, Raymond Sigmund Siolek, Armand Michael Siolek, John Mark Siolek, Armand Major Patella III, and M.C. Patella. She had 9 great-grandchildren; Oliver Holst, Jessie Hanley (daughter Olivia), Jack Richardson, Mckenzie Richardson, Kelsey Richardson, Luke Decker, Emily Decker, Elizabeth Kleinman, and Sofia Siolek.
Emily is also survived by many nieces and nephews who will miss her greatly. She is predeceased by her siblings Louis Aversa, Michael Aversa, Marcella Aversa D'Alessandro, Joseph Aversa, and John Aversa.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing 8:30-10:30 AM Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at the Donohue Funeral Home, 1627 West Chester Pike, West Chester, PA 19382, 610-431-9000 and to her Funeral Mass 11:00 AM at SS Peter & Paul Church, 1325 Boot Road, West Chester, PA 19380. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Brooklyn, NY on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at 11:00 AM.
