Ernestine Griendling

Ernestine Zatto Griendling of Milmont Park, loving Mother and Grandmother, passed away November 10, 2018. Born in Philadelphia and graduated from Kensington High School. Daughter of the late Christo & Ella Stetto, the oldest of 5 children. She resided in Delaware County for over 50 years as a Homemaker. She was previously employed at the Navy Yard in Philadelphia as a bookkeeper during World War II and was also employed for several years at Taste of Philadelphia and also Swarthmore College. Her Pinochle Club was legendary with the ladies of Folsom for over 50 years! Ernie was a woman of great faith, a member of Eastern Star and for many years was a member of the Friendly Group at Folsom Community Church, and spent much of her life in prayer for family, friends and those in need. Will be dearly missed by daughters Nancy, Sue (George), Janet (Paul), and son Mitchell. Her loving grandchildren are Buffy (Joe), Tom (Katie), Derek (Carol), Michele, Bethany, and great-grandchildren. Surviving sisters are Georgette, Jenny and Helen. She was predeceased by spouses Michael Zatto and Andrew Griendling, her brother Leon Stetto, and stepdaughter Nancy and husband George. Mom had much love and respect for her extended family which includes Lynn (Bob), Dotti (Pat), their children, and the children of Nancy & George. Family and friends are welcome at memorial service at 12 Noon on Saturday December 1st, Community Church of Folsom, 1212 Melrose Terrace, Folsom PA 19033.Burial private.
