Eugene Ferraiolo

Eugene A. Ferraiolo, age 81, of Drexel Hill, PA, passed away on August 2, 2014. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Domonick and Jenny Ferraiolo (nee Perna). He was a Corporal in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was employed as a Supply Specialist with the U.S. Department of Defense in Philadelphia for over 35 years, retiring in November, 1990.



Eugene was a true family man and friend to many. He was especially proud of his grandchildren and enjoyed attending their school and sporting events.



Gene loved coaching baseball and was a long time coach with UDHL Babe Ruth and Monsignor Bonner High School. He was inducted into the PA Babe Ruth Hall of Fame Award in 1999 and into the Monsignor Bonner Hall of Fame in 2006. He also received the Italian American Person of the Year Award in 1993 from the Sons of Italy, Greater Havertown Lodge.



Eugene is survived by his loving wife Kathleen M. Ferraiolo (nee Kelly), his children Patricia DeBarberie (Joe), Gene Ferraiolo (Trice), Kathleen Shallow (Tom) and Michael Ferraiolo (Donna), his brother Michael J. Ferraiolo (Betty) and his 16 grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother Frank Ferraiolo (Lucille).

Lynn Blvd.), Upper Darby, PA (610) 449-0300 and to his Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM St. Bernadette Church, 1035 Turner Avenue, Drexel Hill, PA. Interment SS Peter and Paul Cemetery.
