Eugene (Gene) B. Liskey, 85, of Newtown Square, PA passed away on September 11, 2015.
Born in 1930 in Harrisonburg VA, he was the son of Vada Marie Rhinehart and John Floyd Liskey, both deceased.
He was the beloved husband for 64 years of Marie (Betty) E. Fehr Liskey; loving father of Charlene Fisher (Steve), Ken Liskey (Sharon), Mark Liskey (Lisa Westfall); loving grandfather of Paul, Peter, Ken, and Christie; four great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; dear brother of Rachel, Lucille and John. Predeceased by his sister Clara.
Eugene was a 1948 graduate of Sherwood High School in Sandy Spring, MD.
He proudly and honorably served in the US Army during the Korean War.
Eugene worked at A & P Market, where he began his career at the age of 14 and, with dedication and an ironclad work ethic, rose through the ranks to serve as Regional Meat Director for the Eastern United States until his retirement.
He was an avid golfer, who loved do-it-yourself home improvement projects and took great pride in maintaining his property. He was a creative tinkerer and held, along with his son, a US patent.
