Eugene A. Minahan, Jr., passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Crozer-Keystone Hospital Hospice with his loving daughters by his side. He was 83 years old, born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Eugene and Marion (Borzell) Minahan and was a life-long resident of Sharon Hill, PA.
He served in the Navy from 1956-1960 on the USS Kearsarge and the Navy Reserves from 1960-1962 . Gene was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan.
Beloved husband of the late Constance (Kiley) Minahan, who passed away in 2011. He is survived by his loving family: daughters, Kathleen Nilan and Barbara (John) Nawn, grandchildren: Stephanie (Jesse) Chrzanowski, John E. (Mary Kate) Nawn and JuliAna Nawn and great-grandchildren: Stella Chrzanowski, Augustine Nawn and Rogan Chrzanowski. Also survived by his brother, Jeremiah (Sue) Minahan, his sister, Marion (Jack) Keene and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Friday, February 23, 2018 10:00-10:45 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 2130 Franklin Avenue, Morton, PA and to his Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Gene's memory to St. Elizabeth School, 120 St. Elizabeth Drive, Chester Springs, PA 19425 or to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, c/o Division of Neonatology-CLD Program, 34th & Civic Center Blvd., Philadelphia, PA 19104 would be appreciated.
